About the shape
The first AGT board I tested was a prototype of the Water 148 in Japan in 2026. I rode it in powder, sometimes up to half a meter, with a lot of riding through the trees. I fell in love with the shape immediately.
I’ve always liked a freestyle approach to snowboarding — jumping around, finding transitions and using the terrain in a playful way. Because of its shorter shape, the Water is incredibly maneuverable and fun to ride. I would recommend riding this series around 5 cm / 2 inches shorter than a traditional powder board. I’m around 170 cm tall, and the 148 worked perfectly for me.
The shape also works really well without bindings for powsurfing. I wanted a freestyle-friendly tail to make the board playful in both directions — you can land and ride fakie into tight transitions and bring that freestyle feeling into natural terrain or the park.
When you ollie, it reminds me of a skateboard. You can really pop off the tail and feel the board come with you into the air.
The Water has moderate camber combined with an early-rise rocker nose. Carbon stripes add response and help with pop, carving and butters.
If you like to play with the mountain and spend a lot of time in powder and in the trees, this is what the Water was made for.
